The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) welcomed Tami Reid as its new Board Chair at the annual Board of Directors meeting in June. Tami joined IPEF as a Board Director in early 2022 and began her new role of Chair on July 1, 2023.
Tami, her husband Kyle, and their family first moved to Naperville from overseas in 1999. Over the past 24 years, corporate relocations have forced them to leave three times, but they keep returning to Naperville. “Each time we have ‘repatriated,’ we have felt as though we were coming home,” said Tami. All four of their children attended IPSD 204 schools and are currently studying at the collegiate level.
Tami holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M University and a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from UNLV. She has also managed a private piano studio for over 30 years. Most recently, Tami started a new business, Half-Baked Goodness, a fresh-baked cookie company.
Tami has volunteered extensively with IPSD 204 and the surrounding community over the past two decades. She served on multiple PTA boards and was an officer on the board of the Indian Prairie Parents Council for seven years. She has also served in leadership roles with youth sports, boy and girl scouts, and her church congregation.
Please help us welcome Tami to her new position as Board Chair of the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation. We feel fortunate to have her in the leadership role and look forward to seeing her put her passion for volunteering and the IPSD 204 community into action.
