The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation and District 204 honored Meghan Van Dorn, a self-contained classroom teacher at Owen Elementary School, with the A+ Award.

Parent Karen Lawson, submitted the nomination and described Van Dorn as a talented, caring, and passionate teacher. “I am so grateful to her and feel privileged that she has been in my son’s life. What a gift an excellent teacher is to a child,” Lawson said.
Van Dorn has been teaching in District 204 since 2008 and shared that she loves what she does because of the kids.

Wells Fargo Advisors are partnering with IPEF and District 204 to help recognize one staff member each month for making a difference for students. To celebrate these outstanding staff members, Wells Fargo Advisors is donating $500 for the staff member to use in his or her school.
